What we use them for
Through Family First Life, we have access to Americo’s life and annuity product lines. From an agent’s perspective, they tend to be a strong fit when:
- The case is final expense or simplified-issue life. Americo is widely written by FFL agents for senior buyers who want a smaller permanent policy without full underwriting.
- The buyer wants an annuity with a competitive bonus structure. Americo’s annuity portfolio includes products with first-year premium bonuses that can fit specific accumulation goals.
- The buyer’s age, health, or budget pushes them out of standard term-life rate classes. Simplified-issue products from Americo can fill that gap.
A note on financial strength
This page does not list current financial-strength ratings. Pull live values from AM Best’s rating directory before quoting any specific rating on a call. Ratings change quarterly and any cited number must be current.
When to consider another carrier
For maximum brand recognition with older buyers, Mutual of Omaha typically resonates more — Americo is less of a household name. For broad product range and global parent backing, Transamerica covers more ground. Americo’s strength is in specific product niches; the right answer is product-and-buyer-driven.
